World of Warcraft Classic

Having spent many enjoyable hours of my childhood playing World of Warcraft I was interested in the announcement of World of Warcraft Classic! Was I going to experience again the perfect MMORPG?

Although the game didn’t totally live up to the hype, I did enjoy levelling in a world which I hadn’t experienced in 10 years but I wasn’t enamoured playing solo, the fun moments were the moments you interacted with a group. As the game is a grind you need the interaction with other players to keep it interesting and to keep you hooked. I believe that Classic is perfect for someone who plays Retail World of Warcraft and is looking for a tougher experience or a nostalgia trip.

What separates Classic from Retail is the sense of achievement, in Retail there isn’t a challenge until you reach the max level and start raiding. Classic is different as every quest is a challenge even at low level, every time you enter a cave you have a sense of dread and excitement as you don’t know how many wipes you are going to face until you complete the quest inside.

I know Classic isn’t for everyone, as I can see many players finding it too challenging and time consuming however if you are up for the trails of levelling I would highly recommend it as it was an exhilarating experience and I will definitely return to Classic as it was as it’s the most enjoyable MMORPG I’ve ever played.
